Advisory Board

We are currently in the process of looking for a few individuals interested in serving on an informal advisory board to help guide our future efforts.Ideally this will be a blend of former beach lovers, and professional ranks so that all age groups and interest groups can be represented. If you have time, interest, communications skills, and understand that this restoration effort will only happen when common citizens get involved, then we would like to hear from you. Please send me a note at the posted e-mail address, and we will be in touch with you. sandman@beachaid-eastharbor.com

Video needed

Looking for some good VIDEO of the East Harbor beach before 1972. This would be short clips, no longer than 2 minutes. Old family films enjoying the beach would be much appreciated. We would post these to YouTube, and have them on the beachaid website. (No names would be mentioned--what we are after is pictures of the beach in pristine condition). Consider volunteering your family footage and HELP save the East Harbor Beach.

What Can I Do?

By clicking on our website you have taken the most important step. This restoration project will be a huge physical challenge, but the first challenge will be to persuade local, State, Federal and possibly private agencies that this is a worthy cause. This will not be one great leap but a process of many small steps. I have taken a few of those small steps with the research I have done over several years. The next step in the process will be to get each of you involved and pool our advocacy abilities and resources. At some point this will need to migrate from a "good idea" to an initiative and then to a campaign. We are open to ideas.
